BoxSmartly Home · For any household
Know what you own, where it is, and what needs attention.
…and what's in them.
BoxSmartly Home is a home inventory app for any household, inside the BoxSmartly app for iPhone and iPad. List your rooms, the places inside them, like a cabinet, shelf or bin, and what's in each. Search it, or ask “where is the passport?” You don't need to be moving.
What it does
Find
Rooms, and places inside places. Ask where something is and get the shelf.
Record
A photo and notes for every thing. With the subscription: what you paid, serial number, warranty, receipts and manuals.
Remember
One repeating job with a reminder is free. The subscription adds warranty, service and loan reminders.
Check
Recall Check compares the brands and models you record with official recall lists in the US, UK, EU and Canada. Matches are possibilities for you to confirm.
Start with your most important things: free to set up, up to 15 items. Optional subscription · No account needed
Rooms, and places inside placesFree
Start with a room, then add what's in it: a cabinet, a shelf, a bin, a box. Places nest as deep as you like — Garage, Cabinet, Top shelf, Blue bin — and every item shows its full path. Move a shelf to another room and everything on it moves too.
Set up fast
Nobody wants to type a hundred items. Say them out loud with voice entry, free. Start a room from a list of what people usually keep there. With the subscription, Add from Photo turns a picture of a shelf into a list you approve before anything is added.
Or explore the sample home first, filled in, with nothing saved.

One repeating maintenance reminder, like a smoke-alarm battery or an air filter, is free.
Find anything: search and “where is”Free
Type “where is the passport?” and get the room and shelf. Searching and “where is” questions are free.
Questions about what you paid or when a warranty ends use the paid details.
Recall Check
In the US, UK, EU and Canada, BoxSmartly compares the brands and models you record with official recall lists, on your device. It shows possible matches that may concern an item. Checking one item at a time is free; the subscription checks your whole household every day and notifies you if a match turns up.
It can miss a recall or flag the wrong product, so always confirm with the maker. Consumer products only: not cars, car seats, tires, food or medicine.
Scan a product label or barcode to fill in the brand and model without typing.
Warranties, receipts and remindersSubscription
Record what you paid, the purchase date, the warranty end, the serial number and who borrowed it. Attach receipts, manuals and warranty cards as photos or PDFs, several per item. A receipt reader proposes the price, date and shop for you to approve. Reminders for warranty ends, services and loans are scheduled on your device.
An inventory report you keepFree
Export your inventory as a PDF or CSV, free. It is a record of what you own, room by room. It isn't an insurance document: BoxSmartly doesn't value your belongings and can't promise an insurer will accept it.
Start with your most important things: free to set up, up to 15 items. Optional subscription for more.

Questions
What should a home inventory include?+
Your rooms, the places inside them, like a cabinet, shelf or bin, and what's in each. A photo of each item helps you recognize it later. For valuables, add what you paid and the warranty; in BoxSmartly Home those details come with the subscription. Keep it simple: a short list you keep up to date beats a long one you never finish.
Do I need to be moving?+
No. Start with your rooms, in Settings → BoxSmartly Home. If you did move with BoxSmartly, setting up Home brings your rooms, boxes and items along.
Is BoxSmartly Home free?+
Setting it up is free: rooms, places inside places and up to 15 items, with photos, categories, search, one repeating maintenance reminder and PDF or CSV reports. An optional subscription adds unlimited items, what you paid, warranties, receipts, more reminders and iCloud backup.
What happens if my subscription ends?+
Nothing is deleted or locked. You drop to the free tier: you keep everything, can still search, edit and export, and can add items up to the free limit.
I already own Pro, what does Home add?+
If you own Pro and set up Home, you keep unlimited items, photo cataloging and iCloud backup. The subscription adds paid item details such as what you paid, warranties and receipts, reminders, and the daily recall check for the whole household.
How does Recall Check work, and where?+
In the US, UK, EU and Canada, BoxSmartly compares the brands and models you record with official recall lists, on your device, and shows possible matches that may concern an item. It can miss a recall or match the wrong product, so confirm with the maker. Checking one item at a time is free; the subscription checks your whole household every day and notifies you. Consumer products only: not cars, car seats, tires, food or medicine.
Is the report an insurance document?+
No. It is a record you keep of what you own. BoxSmartly doesn't value belongings, and it can't promise an insurer will accept it.
Where is my data stored, and do I need an account?+
No account is needed. Your inventory stays on your device; with the subscription you can back it up to your own private iCloud. Recall Check matches on your device. Smart features run on your device or with Apple's Private Cloud Compute — never stored.
Does it work on iPad, and on Android?+
It works on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later. There is no Android version.
